WakeCast Terms of Use
Effective date: July 17, 2026
These terms govern your use of WakeCast. By using the app, you agree to these terms and Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with Apple's required terms, Apple's terms control.
What WakeCast does
WakeCast reads the latest available Apple Weather forecast when the app is able to run, evaluates your weather rule, and schedules eligible occurrences with AlarmKit ahead of time. Weather is not a native AlarmKit trigger, and iOS background execution is not real-time or guaranteed.
Important alarm limitations
- Forecasts, location, network access, WeatherKit, AlarmKit, device power, system permissions, and background execution can be delayed or unavailable.
- Conditional coverage is limited to the forecast window WakeCast has most recently processed.
- A matching-only rule may remain silent when weather cannot be checked. A skip-on-match rule remains scheduled when weather cannot be checked.
- WakeCast is not intended for emergencies, medical treatment, medication, safety-critical work, or any situation in which a missed or extra alarm could cause harm. Use an independent ordinary alarm whenever waking is critical.
You are responsible for reviewing the Reliability Center and the AlarmKit schedule shown by the app before relying on a conditional alarm.
WakeCast Pro
WakeCast Pro is offered as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. The price shown by the App Store is the price that applies. The purchase unlocks the Pro features described in the app for the current product version and does not automatically renew.
Purchases, refunds, family sharing eligibility, and payment issues are handled by Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Use Restore Purchases in WakeCast to ask the App Store to restore an eligible entitlement.
Acceptable use
You may not interfere with the app, attempt to bypass purchase verification, misuse Apple services, or use WakeCast in violation of applicable law.
Availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue features to maintain security, reliability, platform compatibility, or legal compliance. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or forecast accuracy.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, WakeCast is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted operation, forecast accuracy, or fitness for a safety-critical purpose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from a missed, delayed, or unexpected alarm. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
